A tapir lower premolar (P2), collected from the Miocene (Sarmatian) of Nowa Wieś Królewska near Opole, is described. Its identification as Tapirus cf. telleri Hofmann may be also based on similarities displayed by the mammalian assemblage from Opole to that from Göriach which yielded remains of Tapirus telleri Hofmann.
