Middle Miocene (Badenian) microproblematics, known as Bolboforma Daniels et Spiegler, 1974 and Bachmayerella Rogl et Franz, 1919, from the Central Paratethys (Poland, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Bulgaria and Romania) have been examined here. It has been stated that they are important for biostratigraphy, especially for distinguishing the Upper Badenian deposits from the older ones. Bolboforma taenifera sp.n. is described.

Key words: Calcareous microproblematics, plankton, paleoecology, taxonomy, biostratigraphy, Miocene, Central Paratethys.
